Office Suites in Finland

Tietokone is probably the largest IT magazine in Finland, and it is regularly running online polls amongst the readers.

One of the most successful polls in 2012 has covered the subject of office suites, and has been completed by almost 1.200 readers.

The results are somehow surprising and probably representative of a peculiar situation, because free office suites have the largest market share at 48% (LibreOffice 33% plus OpenOffice 15%) over Microsoft Office at 40%.

Apple Pages is at 5%, Google Docs at 2% and others at 1%, while Lotus Symphony is not even in the picture. A small percentage (3%) does not use office suites.
